    Easy to customize into camper van. Quiet ride if insulated and walls are finished. Great mileage for a van that hauls 3/4 ton. Drives easily and parks easily. Short enough to fit in a parking garage. Comfortable and very adaptable to jobs, family, and fun. Drives like a car, hauls like a van. Only van with rear windows that go up and down like a car window.

    We bought a new 2016 Ram Promaster City SLT passenger Wagon in July 2016. We were a little nervous as the vehicle was relatively new to Ram at that point. As I did some research, I found that it was basically a rebadged Fiat Doblo and Fiat has been selling these for years in Europe. It has actually won the European van of the year twice and they had sold over two million and it also was sold as a rebadged Vaxhaul and Opel. So that helped me overcome my fears of not being proven. It has proven to be one of the best vehicles we have owned. It’s very comfortable, very efficient, with extreme durability and utility and very low ownership/maintenance cost. Ours is a passenger wagon with seating for five, with a canvernous 4 foot by 4 foot cargo area with the rear seat in use, and nearly 7 by 4 with the rear seats folded down. It is engineered to haul as much weight as your average half ton pick up at a much lower price. It gets excellent fuel economy, thanks in part to its nine speed automatic and efficient 2.4 Chrysler made, Tiger Shark motor. This was built with commercial use in mind and as a result, all the materials are heavy duty and designed to withstand heavy constant use. We have had it for 3 years now and have no warranty repairs and no issues or broken parts and no break downs. Maintenance has consisted of just one synthetic oil change per year and nothing else. We get as high as 32 on the highway and even at 80 mph in our mountaines area we get 25 mpg or better. Overall this van has exceeded all expectations and performed flawlessly. I highly recommend it to families and or for business use as it will not disappoint.

    2015 Promaster 4D SLT - 2 passenger Cargo Van Its a cargo van so there is no sound proofing. Road noise transmitted inside. Great gas mileage. I have gotten as high as 33 MPG on the level driving 50-60 MPH (1500-2000 rpm). Hills, stop and go, winding country pot-holed roads it drops to 26-27. Drops also at interstate speeds - 65-75 MPH to 28-29 MPG. Still great for a delivery van. Interior passenger compartment storage and spacing a little funky. Seats shifted to center give shoulder room and feeling of space but prevents a useful center console. Cups in holders in center block use of hand break and are small. In door storage OK, but bottle holders there are useless. Over head bin useful, but needs better method to prevent items from falling out if you go up a steep hill. Speedometer placement/size makes it difficult to see in bright sunshine, particularly when wearing sunglasses. Standard seats firm but comfortable with enough adjustments. Although the seat tilt back is adjusted by a turning a knob rather than more typical lever action. While this gives you an infinite number of positions for tilt back, the knob is difficult to turn if you are in the seat unless you lean forward. Great cargo space with easy access from sides (2 sliding doors and rear 40/60 split doors that open out of the way to 180 degrees. Excellent handling and traction and peppy performance - almost sports-car-like. Some might say it rides stiff and hard. Heavy duty suspension and higher required pressure in tires (42 PSI) may contribute to that. Nine Speed automatic transmission is pretty smooth. Seems to have auto hold back (stays in lower gear) when descending hills. Standard radio/media system in SLT did not include CD player, but has AUX Jack, USB, and blue tooth. Bluetooth hands-free cellphone interface works well and microphone picks up voice without too much road noise or in-the-well sound effect. Night time driving - great high beams really shine down the road - just remember to dim them or you will blind oncoming traffic. Have had loads up to around 1200 lbs - still handles well (max cap. around 1800). Just slower on acceleration. With optional roof rack and Thule cross bars, you may not fit in some city parking lots. But Thule cross bars are removable subtracting about 3 from the height. Wish I would have gotten windows in the side sliding doors. Hard to see to traffic coming from the side when sitting at an intersection that is something other than 90 degrees. That would be a problem with any car or van. Most controls for radio/media, lights, wipers, speed control, etc. are on the steering wheel or mounted on levers on the steering column making it easy to control these accessories. But many auxiliary media and information controls are through a touch screen LDC panel. I prefer switches and buttons that you can reach for and have tactile contact while still keeping your eyes on the road. Got the tow package/Class III receiver but have not tried pulling a trailer (max tow cap 2000 lb). Now 3 years and 40,000 miles and no major problems - minor cosmetics, and one faulty rear wiper switch. Over all a good economical delivery van
